INDUCTION INTO AN AFRICAN ETHNIC GROUP

INDUCTION CEREMONY:

This ceremony will highlight a cultural induction of Americans and/or African Americans into African tribes. The inductees will be accepted as members of their adopted tribes and will participate in all their cultural outreach and events, both here in the United States and in Africa. The inductees will also have the privilege of becoming members of the community at large; an honor that is also ex-tended to them when they visit there adopted hometown in Africa. Please note becoming an induc-tee is an honor, it will help you identify with cultural roots. It does not constitute any oath of alle-giance or denunciation of onea€™s citizenship

AWARD INSTRUCTIONS:

There is no application or processing fee, please do not offer money or gratuities to AFI personnel in lieu of the exercise. African Focus Inc, does not entertain any form of lobbying the selection commit-tee. Your candidacy will not be considered without providing us with all the required information. Fail-ure to returned requested material before the deadline will be criteria for disqualification for the year's award consideration. Candidates will be selected based on detailed information provided and verifiability of such informa-tion. Upon selecting the nominees, a second notification letter will be sent out

Nominees who make it to the final phase will receive an award of recognition for their goodwill work in Africa. An award may include an official letter of appreciation from the government of the host country/countries in Africa.

For all our nominees, African Focus will request video footage or clips, old pictures, biography, testi-monies and other information prior to award presentation. Where this information is not available, AFI will recommend a video prelude of our individual nominees. The video should not be more than 3 minutes in length and may feature interviews of associates, friends, schoolteachers, church pas-tors/clergy, family members, co-workers, and other people demonstrating great knowledge of the candidate and the subject matter.

AFRICAN FOCUS INC. uses defined criteria to evaluate and select the award winners.

The AFI Board of Directors wishes 2006 candidates the best and we hope to see you at the award ceremo-nies. Bring your friends to join us for the event!
